What is Doggie Day Camp?
| Doggie Day Camp is a new concept in canine care designed and made popular by owners who love their dogs but who happen to work long hours. Dogs are very social animals; they generally love to get attention from humans as well as interact with friends of the same four-legged kind. Without stimulation, they can become bored and very destructive. Some dogs suffer from separation anxiety and cry and bark for hours when left alone. This can lead to serious physical problems for your dog. |

Our purpose at Golden Lake is to offer you the option of a safe and loving environment for your dog while you are at work. For just a few dollars more than what you would pay to have your dog walked for one-half hour, you can have him or her spend the day at Golden Lake where all our doggie guests spend the day playing in groups of canine and human friends.
Animal care providers know that a dog's disposition can be profoundly influenced by the amount of attention and exercise that he or she receives; in fact, some-behaviorists believe that 90% of all destructive behaviors are caused by boredom, frustration, or isolation.
Doggie Day Camp provides that companionship and loads of exercise in a safe, supervised and constructive environment to eliminate the boredom.
Golden Lake is a special fun zone for your dog. We offer three large fenced yards and two covered play yards for those rainy days. An indoor playroom is available for hot summer days. For our older dogs that have trouble keeping up with the youngsters, there are soft beds to relax on and tons of attention to give them. An exercise program will be tailored to your dog's needs and abilities.

Who can participate in Dog Camp?
Adult dogs over 5 months of age who are spayed or neutered and have necessary vaccines.
Puppies who are as young as 8 weeks and up to 5 months of age with at least 2 series of Vaccines. Call for details.
For the safety for all of our Day Campers, each dog is screened before admittance in to group play.
Individual Rates and Referrals
If you choose to bring your dog to Day Camp, you can drop off as early as 8:00am and pick up as late as 6:00pm.
